How to make Specimen Slides (Free script)
I love old type specimen books filled with stacked type in different sizes.
Here’s how to create it super fast in Adobe Illustrator:
1. Download the FREE Script
Visit the website of this FREE Text Block Script
If your download button doesn’t work: Right click > Save link as…
Note: You may need to dismiss the unsecure download link, I know this doesn’t seem legit.. (this website is from 2012) but I’ve tested it on viruses and haven’t found any. It’s also 2kb in size.
2. Install your script
Navigate to Applications/Adobe Illustrator CC/Presets/en_GB/Scripts
and copy the .jsx file there (the file path may differ for you depending on your version of Adobe Illustrator).
You may need to unZIP the file first
